The above pics are from the ice storm we had.
This was my 2000 Dodge Sport King Cab 4x4. I had it for a few months. It was a take
over payments deal where the previous owner wasn't quite as honest about it all as I would
of liked. I returned the truck to him. Better to find out at $1,500 into a $15,000 truck
than closer to the $15,000 point :)
The truck had some issues, trans is basically sound on them but the torque converters
fail constantly. Thus killing the trans in the process. Would of taken a $1000 torque
converter to be safe. Glad I didnt go that route. I did put $150 into it on a trans fluid
change. Transfer case was bad about popping out of 4 high. Not good.
Also the gas mileage was horrible for the low power it had to start with. 12 mpg was
the best it would get. The Magnum 5.7 motor was pretty sad power wise.
Average mpg was around 8 mpg.
Last but not least the Anti Lock Brakes didn't work worth a flip to say the least. I
nearly ran over a lady coming home one night with a light rain going on. Couldnt find
anything wrong with it. Just sucked.
But all said and done, even with its issues, it was one beautiful truck :)
I probably will buy another one someday if I can find one just like it. I should of
just bought it outright. Though if I do buy one I will be converting it to diesel.
